| County criminal record searches are performed directly at each courthouse. They are a hand search, performed by an experienced member of our nationwide court researcher network. Our court researchers search for felony and misdemeanor criminal record convictions and go back at least 7 years per FCRA regulations. We have court researchers in every courthouse in the United States. |

Sample On-Site County Criminal Record

The On-Site County Criminal Record Search is one of the more important background searches in a pre-employment screening program. It is the most up to date pre-employment screening tools an employer can benefit from. It's considered the most accurate and comprehensive criminal record search. This segment of the background check is conducted by a member of our skilled team of criminal court researchers. Our researchers access criminal records directly from your local courthouse and report a minimum of a 7 year history of felony and misdemeanor criminal convictions. The results of this search do not come from a third party criminal record database.
We offer the county criminal background check to employers wanting to screen with preemployment background checks on all potential job candidates. Under most circumstances we recommend that county criminal searches are conducted within all counties where the applicant has lived over the past 7 years. When Human Resources Managers order this background check, we take care of dispatching the court researchers to the appropriate courthouse and managing the entire process. Once the information is retrieved we then send an email notification to the human resource personnel that the results of the report are waiting in the online account.
We conduct county criminal background searches in every county in the United States. Often times researchers must visit multiple locations to include a complete search of both felony and misdemeanor records. If this is the case, we will search both locations. |

| The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires that prior to making an adverse employment decision that all criminal information, such as those obtained from a Multi-Jurisdictional Criminal Record Database, be verified directly at the source. It's important for clients that utilize the Multi-Jurisdictional Criminal Records Database (also referred to as the National Criminal Database) to verify all criminal records using an On-Site County Criminal Search. Criminal Records Databases are third party databases consisting of collected criminal record data. This criminal record data is often updated on various schedules, with most jurisdictions updated on a monthly basis with the most current data available. This means that the data available at the courthouse will be the most current and accurate information available. We encourage Human Resources professionals to utilize both the criminal records databases and the On-Site County Criminal Records. |
